Tref Valeek is calm and generally has good judgement. He is quick to size up a new situation and determine the way to get the most personal benefit out of it. Tref is an Axenjear and is knowledgeable about a variety of plants. |

Zen Bismark is extremely intelligent, and is part of Xter's minority population of hermaphrodites. Zen doesn't often speak up, but when ze does, you can be sure ze'll know what ze's talking about. Zen is coldly pragmatic, keeps to zerself, and is known to be a survivor. |

Porsh Kettel likes animals and knows a lot of stories about them, some of which might even be true. He's known for his physical strength, resiliency, and bravery. Few people want to fight him for fear of his sharp horns. He's a little shy and awkward around people, and prefers the company of unintelligent animals. |

Miles Roland is one of the more respected and experienced Militia Captains, and is recognized on sight by most of the population of Xter. He is very large and many people find him rather intimidating. |

Menar LaKroy is attractive and very talkative. He has a poor work ethic, but can be very lively in social situations. He joined the Militia because he thought it would be an easy job, and he's been disappointed to learn that he can't actually sleep at his post. |

Oorloot Signal's family traditionally becomes either Farmers or Mystics, but he didn't feel particularly drawn to those professions. He is practical, gets along with other people well, and prefers not to be the center of attention. |

Bil Sootman would prefer to be an Aspirant or an Arker, and has joined the Militia to maintain his citizenship until he can get a better job. He likes to interact with other people and spends a lot of time socializing, and he dreams of travel. |

Cinna Plants is a pure human known for her compassion and good natured acceptance of everyone, no matter how weird their mutations may be. She is a skilled medic, and hopes to join the Mystics someday; until then, she puts her skills to good use patching up the Militia in addition to her other duties. |

Plisten Larport is obsessed with his family's store of ancient books, and even claims to be able to read them. He had high hopes for his future that didn't materialize, so he joined the Militia to get his citizenship and a chance to see some of the things he's dreamed about. |

Fenla Irleese is domineering and loves to be in charge, and can be very kind and generous... to her friends. She seems driven to succeed, and second place just won't be enough. She has a reputation for being a good judge of character, and she's known for being multi-talented. |

Josef Tweed is over 9 feet tall, and may continue to grow -- who knows? He used to be of completely normal height, but changed after being caught in an Indian Rain storm while farming his family's fields. He used to roughhouse and get into minor trouble with authorities, but since his physical changes he has distanced himself from his wilder friends and is troubled by other changes in himself. |

Orta Raze is occasionally mistaken for a male due to her full beard and thick coat of blonde hair. She attemps to feminize her appearance with frilly bows and excessive amounts of pink, and she encourages others to improve their appearances as well with the bright cloth she sells in the marketplace. Her occupation as a merchant requires her to travel, although she maintains a home base in Xter. |
